Your first visit will be an assessment when a history of your problem will be explored.  Please come suitably dressed so that you can remove appropriate clothing for the physiotherapist to examine you.  For example, having shorts to wear can be helpful for lower limb issues.

A tailored treatment programme will then be discussed with you, and you will be given a full range of advice and any treatment appropriate.

On-going treatment
It is often necessary for Physiotherapy treatment to be carried out over several weeks.  If this is the case, the frequency of appointments will be discussed with you and convenient dates and times agreed.

Physiotherapy may involve making changes to your posture.  You may also be asked to do some exercises to augment your treatment.  These will be specific to your needs and you will be shown how and when to do them.  Please remember that the treatment is to help you, so always tell the Physiotherapist if you are uncertain or unhappy about anything.

If you would prefer, you are most welcome to bring a friend with you.
